- Museum of Natural History, Oxford
- FREE! All welcome
Following the success of December's Story Makers symposium, we're excited to return to the Museum of Natural History for an open afternoon celebrating arts-based learning in museums! Join us in the Westwood Room (next to the café) for art activities for all ages and discover how the Story Makers project has empowered young people through creativity and collaboration.
Helen Edwards, Story Makers Lead, Chris Jarvis, Education Officer at the Oxford Museum of Natural History, and volunteers from this year’s project will be on hand to share insights about Story Makers and answer any questions.
Don’t miss the Story Makers Exhibition: Stories of Hope! This inspiring display is in the Community Case on the ground floor (just left of reception) and will be open during museum hours until mid-March.
Since 2010, Story Makers—a partnership between Helen Edwards and Fusion Arts, funded by Children in Need—has been delivering arts-based learning to foster personal growth and expression.
Over the past three years, Story Makers has collaborated with Rose Hill, Wood Farm, and Larkrise Primary Schools, working alongside the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Oxford, and the Pitt Rivers Museum to create lasting change.
Celebrate the exploration of communication, creativity, and identity. Hope to see you there!
