Photo Oxford 2025

Winner and Finalists of the 2025 Open Call competition and images made during Photo Oxford community workshops.

Photo Oxford at the Window Galleries

This two-part exhibition curated by Photo Oxford celebrates photography’s power to reveal, question, and connect.

One set of windows showcases the Overall Winner and Finalists of the 2025 Open Call Competition, which invited photographers from around the world to submit projects exploring the theme ‘Revealing Truth.’

From more than 1,150 submissions, the judges selected one overall winner and nine finalists whose work reflects the spirit of our time — offering fresh perspectives on truth, perception, and the photographer’s unique relationship with the world around them.

The second set of windows features work created through Photo Oxford community workshops, delivered in collaboration with local partners. Led by photographers and educators, these sessions invited participants to explore ideas of truth, identity, and storytelling while learning new photographic techniques.

Together, these two collections highlight both professional artistry and community creativity — a shared journey into how we see, shape, and reveal truth through images.

Available to view at the Window Galleries on Friar's Entry from 11th - 30th November 2025.

About Photo Oxford

Photo Oxford is a small charity that breaks down barriers to photography by staging a biennial festival. For the 2025 festival we offer access to over 40 free exhibitions, workshops, and events across the city. Whether you've never picked up a camera or you're a seasoned pro, we welcome everyone to explore big ideas through photography - from making your own pinhole camera to discussing AI and its relationship to truth. With hands-on workshops with community partners, to photo walks through Oxford's colleges, and free portfolio reviews, we are proving that art isn't just for galleries—it's for all of us. We are building a diverse community where photography becomes a conversation we can all join. www.photooxford.org
