LANTERN MAKING & PARADE – Get Involved!
The community has been busy crafting willow lanterns for the Lantern Parade on 16th November — ready to fill the streets with light and colour.
We still need more hands to help make, decorate, and join the procession — everyone’s welcome!

Lantern Decorating & Willow Crown Making Session 3pm - 5pm
Join us to decorate hand-made lanterns and craft your own light-up willow crown. Free snacks, soup and hot drinks including mulled apple juice and hot chocolate to keep you cosy!
Lantern Parade 4.45pm - 5.20pm / 6.15pm
We’ll leave Fusion Arts (15 Park End Street) for an illuminated community walk around St Ebbes, St Thomas, and Osney with all our lanterns and light-up crowns. If you couldn’t join us but want to come enjoy the walk, you are welcome - we might even have some spares for you to wear or hold!
- 4:45pm ready to leave Fusion Arts, we’ll share out spare lanterns & crowns!
- 5pm Led by Sol Samba drums we’ll light up St Ebbe’s & St Thomas’ streets!
- 5pm - 5:20pm Shorter, access-friendly parade ending in OVADA
OX1 1NJ with hot drinks & soup free thanks to #WellTogether
- 5:25pm - 6pm Longer parade continues to Faulkner St then back to OVADA (14a Osney Lane, OX1 1NHJ)
All ages welcome — children must be accompanied by an adult.
