DEPOT is a pioneering art event in Oxford run collaboratively by artist-led commercial galleries, individual artists, specialist art fair platform ARTSVP, and Oxford-based arts charity Fusion Arts.Set to take place in central Oxford in September 25, DEPOT ‘25 aims to revolutionise the local art scene by showcasing exceptional contemporary art in a culturally rich city easily accessible from London.
DEPOT is a new concept exhibition-meets-art fair aimed at collectors and art lovers to enable access to exceptional contemporary art outside of the capital, in a city with a rich cultural offering, whilst still within easy reach. DEPOT, 15 Park End St, Oxford OX1 1HH
Highlights of the 2025 edition
- Invited galleries: A curated selection of national and international galleries, including: Brooke Benington, Benjamin Parsons Gallery, Doyle Wham, Far Far Gallery, Hannah Payne Art, Tin Man Art, and They Come, They Sit, They Go, with more to be announced.
- Focus at DEPOT: Focus by Fusion Arts returns for its second year in 2025 and brings together diverse artistic practices to foster dialogue and present a broad spectrum of perspectives. Artists to be announced soon!
- Talks Programme: hosted by Amici: DEPOT’s Talks Programme, curated and hosted by Amici.art, will bring together artists, curators and industry voices for a series of conversations that explore contemporary practice, collecting and the intersection of art and community.
- Stanley Donwood and Thom Yorke feature: Tin Man Art will present work by Stanley Donwood and Thom Yorke - the music legends and artists behind Radiohead’s iconic album art - in a presentation that complements their major exhibition This Is What You Get currently on view at Oxford’s Ashmolean museum.
Partnerships
- Small Publishers & Artists Shop at DEPOT In 2025, DEPOT launches a new shop dedicated to small publishers and artists’ books. Curated with independence and experimental forms in mind, the selection will feature titles from Fieldnotes, Prototype, TACO, and Tenement Press, with further contributors to be announced. Alongside the shop, a programme of readings and workshops will invite visitors to engage directly with publishers, artists works, and DIY book makers—exploring all the works showing as part of DEPOT and the wider culture of independent publishing.
- Modern Art Oxford will have an outpost showcasing Emma Hart editions. More details to be announced
- Tap Social will run the bar throughout the event.
- Jericho Coffee Traders and Bear Burgers will provide food and refreshments.
- Arcual, a blockchain platform streamlining sales and documentation for art
fairs, galleries, artists, and institutions.
