Four day creative programme throughout Skoll World Forum Week

Visit the Fusion Arts x House of Creativity: a vibrant gathering space where artistic practice meets social transformation. Co-created by Oxford-based and international creatives, this dynamic hub offers a dedicated environment for inspiration, collaboration, and exchange, with daytime and evening programming throughout Skoll World Forum Week, alongside opportunities to connect, share ideas, and build community.

In collaboration with the Moleskine Foundation, Atlantic Institute, Sidebar, and with support from the Skoll Foundation, Fusion will host the House of Creativity programme during the Skoll World Forum week in Oxford.

The four-day creative programme functions as an evolving, responsive hub designed to centre creativity as a primary driver for systemic change. There will be talks, performances, workshops, panels that will be open to all!

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS

Doors open at 10am every day, feel free to visit any time. There will be coffee & pastries by Meet Point Coffee and Lunch served between 12-1 by OCA Kitchen. Enjoy the artwork by Fusion Arts Artists on display and take part in the creative activities. Read on to find out what's happening!

Some of the workshops (Flamenco, Jewellery, Capoeira, Yoga) require booking through the links provided. However many of the workshops are 'drop in' so feel free to come mid-session and stay for as long as you like. Please register as it would be helpful for us to keep a track of numbers.

TUESDAY 21st APRIL

Using a combination of rhythm and writing exercises, we will explore what we want to say about things around us using the spoken work/performance genre - both of which require delivery off the page. We will write and 'perform'/deliver our written pieces both collectively and individually. No experience of either writing or spoken word is required.

This flamenco workshop offers a welcoming introduction to the technique and artistry of the form. Open to all levels, explore arm movements, percussive footwork, and rhythm while learning a short choreography and connecting with the musicality and expressive depth of flamenco.

Join us for the Soft Launch of Fusion Arts x House of Creativity. We invite you to experience a curated showcase of local artistry, spanning immersive polyphonics, spoken word, and live musical sets. This event is designed to nurture connections between our local creative scene and the global stage. It’s the perfect opportunity to network in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoy a drink, and engage with the vision behind our new collaboration. We look forward to celebrating this milestone with you.

20:00 - 22:00: DJ AJ Jones: Afro-Latin & Caribbean Vinyl Set > No booking required

Step into a riotous, globe-spanning vinyl set from DJ AJ Jones, blending Latin rhythms, African grooves, reggae, cumbia, and calypso with cutting-edge club sounds like kuduro, funaná, and kizomba. Expect bass-heavy energy, rare dubplates, and a fearless fusion of Black diaspora sounds. Rooted in tradition, powered by the future.

WEDNESDAY 22nd APRIL

A hands-on sustainable jewellery-making workshop led by Seeun Kim, a British-South Korean craftswoman and educator. Explore material experimentation and craft techniques while learning fundamental processes including stamping, surface decoration, and bead assembly using aluminium and crystal beads. All materials and equipment are provided. 16+ event with limited spaces (10 participants). No previous experience necessary.

Meet new people, find a future co-conspirator and offer your skills... or simply come to see who else is interacting with the art installations in the space. Bring your curiosity and we'll do the rest. You can pop by for 15 minutes or stay the full hour and all are welcome.

Kema is passionate about utilising creativity to challenge structures and break down internal and external barriers. His workshop Caged and Free will use lyric writing to explore ways we can identify our cages and find empathetic and nurturing solutions to escape them in the pursuit of freedom.

The workshop has been delivered hundreds if not thousands of times in a variety of settings from Warner Music Boardrooms, to Prisons, Festivals and Youth settings. Always eliciting a powerful and thought provoking response to and from the participants.

16:00 - 18:00: Sip & Clay Workshop with Sofia & Ismael > BOOKING CLOSED however we may have space for drop-ins, especially mid-session

Join us at Fusion Arts’ House of Creativity, where the magic of clay meets the roots of Greek and Venezuelan artistry. This is a relaxed, two-hour workshop designed by artists Sofia & Ismael. No previous experience necessary: open to all, whether you’re coming solo, with a partner, or with friends. Just bring your creativity and imagination, and enjoy a drink as you create!

A lively, high-energy capoeira workshop open to all levels. Discover this Afro-Brazilian movement shaped by a rich history of resistance, culture, and rhythm. Led by The Oxford Capoeira Society, dive into a dynamic mix of martial arts, dance, and music, with flowing movement and plenty of energy!

Julia Utreras is a printmaker, visual artist and facilitator. Their work as an educator focuses on encouraging play and experimentation towards image-making, using drawings, collages and various forms of printing.

For this session we'll work towards a series of collaborative carbon-copy "blind' drawings, taking cues from our surroundings and beyond. No experience needed, all ages.

Join Fusion Arts and Atlantic Fellows for a thought-provoking conversation and immersive experience exploring the power of emerging technologies to tell urgent climate stories. Using VR as a climate justice tool in her 360 film "Living in Water”, Ana P. Santos will share her experience of using VR as a climate justice tool in her 360 film "Living in Water". Together with Alice Wroe, they will discuss this VR experience co-created with communities in the Philippines, illuminating the lived realities of rising sea levels. Be part of a conversation at the intersection of innovation and justice, and step inside a story that brings the climate crisis closer than ever before. Following the discussion, participants are invited to experience Living In Water firsthand through a guided VR demo.

What if creativity isn’t just expression - but a tool for change?
Join us for an open mic night at the House of Creativity during Skoll World Forum 2026. This is a space for stories, sounds, and ideas that move people - and maybe even move systems.

Theme: What Needs to be Said

Bring a poem, a story, a song, a beat, a question. Share something unfinished or something you’ve carried for years. This is about creativity as a practical force - something that helps us make sense of the world, challenge it, and reshape it.

We’ll have guitars, a keyboard, and drums available - or just bring your voice.

Whether you’re a seasoned performer or trying something for the first time, this is an open, welcoming space.

Audience are very welcome to come and join us. This
is a space for stories, sounds, and ideas that move people - and maybe even move systems. Whether you stay for ten minutes or the whole evening, come and experience a different kind of conversation - one that’s felt as much as it’s heard.

Come along to the House of Creativity for an evening of live music. Maxima Tropics band live performance of original music with covers that you know with the rebel chicha twist you didn’t expect. DJ Damage will be spinning an eclectic selection of tunes on the deck - a walk through the sidelines of reggaeton, techno and latincore, amongst other anthems. The bar will be open, providing the perfect backdrop to continue those conversations from the day’s sessions. Whether you’re looking to make new connections or simply relax, this is where the creative community comes together.

Tired, tense, or burnt out? Join Naija Bagi for somatic release yoga, a mindful approach to physical activity that emphasises internal body awareness and consciousness. This session is designed to support relaxation, release, and restoration. A welcoming space for all levels, whether you’re new to yoga or experienced in somatic movement.
