Half term workshop for people aged 16-25
Critical Youth Sound System and Inspire Sounds will be hosting a Sound System building workshop series in Oxford this half term for people aged 16-25.
26th - 30th October, 12-5pm
14 Park End Street, Fusion Arts, Oxford, OX1 1HH
Through peer-to-peer skill-share you will get a look into the carpentry, the sound engineering, the history and creative skills that go into building and running a sound system.
Anyone aged 16-25 is welcome - however, we are prioritising and looking to work specifically with people who might not otherwise have easy access to these skills and resources. So, if you are working class, FLINTA identifying, systems-impacted and/or of the global majority/BPOC - this workshop is FOR YOU!!!

Critical Youth Soundsystem is led by a global majority and FLINTA crew from across the UK. We believe the only good system is a sound system; our work is rooted in the practice of using sound, music and voice as a vital part of our pursuits to be free.
Our mobile sound system amplifies voices of the struggle at picket lines, protests and demonstrations. Supporting all who align with our values, we show up for workers rights, racial and ecological justice in the hopes of resisting erasure and magnifying the ways we can all reclaim space in the streets. Of course we also throw our own parties!!! Centring queer, global majority people as spaces for joy and release - if we can’t dance, it’s not our revolution.
In-Spire Sounds Studios is a professional music studios who through their Inspiring Change Through Music project provide 121 sessions, groups sessions & holiday workshops with systems-impacted 16-25 years old in Oxfordshire.
