Story Makers: Stories of Stars
Come and see the Exhibition of Art Work from Story Makers Arts based learning project with Larkrise and Wood Farm Primary Schools. Story of Stars Exhibition runs for one week between 13-20 June 2026.
This year’s project partnered with Oxford University History of Science Museum and investigated their collection of historic astronomical instruments, which offered a framework for engaging with understanding of stars and planets, life on earth and feelings of hope.
The Story Makers time in the museum collections, brought learning through object handling, imagination-based movement and sound, drawing and modelling. Participants have created beautiful art work to illustrate their different responses to this experience.
Story Makers is an annual arts based initiative that has been running since 2011 working with children and staff selected Oxford primary schools to help them explore their creativity & emotional self-expression together and boost their confidence, all whilst supporting their learning, speech & language development and providing tonnes of fun!
Developed by Fusion Arts and Arts Psychotherapist Helen Edwards.
