Panel, crafts, discussion, documentary & music.

On the National Day of Solidarity to End Immigration Detention, join the Coalition to Keep Campsfield Closed (CKCC) to learn about our urgent campaign against the reopening of a detention centre just outside Oxford — and how you can get involved!
Tickets (and lunch!) are free, with optional donation to CKCC. All are welcome, whether you're an experienced campaigner or whether it's your first time hearing about Campsfield House.
On the day:
- 11AM-12:30PM: Panel discussion with long-term campaigners fighting against both Campsfield's reopening and against the wider detention system
- 12.30PM-1PM: Free vegetarian lunch
- 1PM-1.45PM: Discussion — bring your ideas about how to grow the campaign!
- 1.45PM-3PM: Art from the struggle against immigration detention — hear from musicians making music inspired by experiences of detention, and watch a documentary about the early years of struggle and solidarity at Campsfield
- Throughout: Crafts — write and draw your messages of solidarity to people currently experiencing immigration detention
With the government threatening to bring the first detainees to Campsfield by the end of 2025, the campaign has never been more urgent, and it needs your support, on the 18th October and beyond. Follow on Instagram @keepcampsfieldclosed to find out more!
