Film maker and multi-disciplinary artist Mahdy Abo Bahat will be exhibiting his work at 95 Gloucester Green. Stop by to explore his fascinating work and talk with the artist himself.
GRAVE GOOD: Excavating the Hard Drive is an exhibition of contemporary funerary art from Egypt’s Valley of the undead.
Join us for drinks and snacks to celebrate the exhibition 6-7pm on Friday 9 December 2022, at 95 Gloucester Green, Oxford
The exhibition addresses the personal need to remember. From a dense personal archive, spanning years of separations and uncertainty, Mahdy Abo Bahat conjures a hauntology of the contemporary Nile valley through the assemblage of moving images and found objects.
GRAVE GOOD: Excavating the Hard Drive is part of the 'Egypt Season' organised by The Humanities Cultural Programme. The Humanities Cultural Programme is an innovative public programme powered by TORCH (The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities) at the University of Oxford. The programme works in collaboration with cultural partners and the world's leading organisations, performers, artists, film-makers and musicians.
Fusion Arts would like to thank TORCH Oxford for supporting this exhibition.
