Women of Colour Creative Writing Sessions

Organised by Cowley Climate Collective and hosted at Fusion Arts

5 creative writing sessions took place from August - November 2025 for woman of colour interested in creative writing.

This welcoming series offers a safe space for marginalised women of colour to share work, exchange ideas, and gain tips for developing professionally as writers.

Sessions will be led by Sharmin Islam — a Geordie writer and founder of Brown Girls Write (Newcastle), now based in Oxford and working in academic publishing.
