Seeun Kim: The Oxford Global Agenda Project 2026 was exhibited at the Window Galleries on Friar's Entry, 23rd March - 30th April 2026

Seeun Kim’s exhibition, Oxford Global Agenda Project, brought together jewellery and some of today’s most urgent global conversations, weaving history, the environment, and femininity into every piece on display. Seeun, a British-South Korean metal craftswoman and visual artist, works at the meeting point of contemporary metalwork and the humanities, using her craft not simply to decorate but to provoke reflection.

At the centre of Seeun’s practice is a powerful belief: that we live today as an international family of neighbours, part of a global society in which our responsibilities extend beyond our own doorsteps. Our challenges may be shaped by different cultural contexts, but the fundamental purpose of society remains constant, helping us grow, progress, and find happiness. It is this that runs through Seeun’s Society, Garden, and Village projects, each inviting visitors and participants into a space of quiet self-reflection amid the noise of everyday life.

What makes this exhibition incredibly unique is Seeun’s commitment to genuine accessibility. Her storytelling reaches far beyond the object itself. She uses photography, British Sign Language, and English Braille to ensure that her message can be received by as wide and varied an audience as possible. It is an amazing example of craftsmanship and inclusive design working hand in hand, and an exhibition we are proud to have hosted in our Window Galleries.

For a month between 23 March and 30 April, passers-by were met with metalwork that asked them to consider their place in a shared and interconnected world
