Our World, Our Future: Children taking action for a better future as global citizens

"Our World, Our Futures: A Journey of Discovery Through Art and Education"

A new study called Our World, Our Futures is bringing together researchers, primary school teachers, and children from the UK and the Maldives to create an exciting project about Environmental Education and Global Citizenship. In this project, kids and teachers from seven schools in two very different places are working together to talk about their homes, what worries them, and their dreams for a better tomorrow.

Dr. Claire Lee, who leads the project, says, "We wanted to see how we can teach kids about taking care of the planet and understanding different cultures. We hope they learn to care for the world and think about how they can make it better."

The children have been using art to show what they see around them, what they wish for, and how they feel about things like fairness and protecting the Earth for the future. Each artwork not only shows the kids' creativity but also helps start conversations about important topics.

This project, called Our World, Our Futures, is a partnership between @oxfordbrookes and The Maldives National University. You can learn more about it by clicking this link.

The exhibition will be at the #WindowGalleries along Friars Entry in Oxford, OX1 2BZ, from November 13th to early December. It's free for everyone to visit!

The #WindowGalleries are a special project by Fusion Arts and The Randolph Hotel by @graduatehotels. They aim to bring Oxford's communities together by showcasing local artists' work in a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy.
