Keeping Campsfield Closed

On the National Day of Solidarity to End Immigration Detention on October 18th, The Coalition to Close Campsfield led a session to learn about the urgent campaign against the reopening of a detention centre just outside Oxford — and how you can get involved.

Since then, Campsfield reopened on Wednesday 3 December 2025, and people may begin to be transferred in and detained there from that day. Here, people are held arbitrarily and indefinitely, in inhumane conditions with little respect for their human rights and harmful consequences on their wellbeing.
