Fusion Arts Announces New Spaces for Oxford

11/09/2024

Fusion Arts is excited to announce the launch of several new community and arts spaces in Oxford, making significant headway in our mission to bring art and community together. These spaces, located near the Oxford railway station, have been made available by Nuffield College pending redevelopment in line with the City Council’s Local Plan and will become vibrant hubs for workshops, events, exhibitions, grassroots music, and studio space for local artists over the next few years.

This opportunity aligns with Fusion Arts’ commitment to delivering meaningful, inclusive, and accessible arts experiences. For over 45 years, Fusion Arts has enriched lives through quality arts programs, supporting artists, breaking down barriers, and fostering community cohesion. These new spaces allow us to continue nurturing creative talent and expanding opportunities for community engagement through the arts.

Fianna O'Shea of Fusion Arts

"Fusion Arts has always prioritized people and groups who might otherwise feel excluded from the arts. With these new buildings, we are excited to create a literal ‘place’ in the arts for those who may have felt they had none. This marks a pivotal moment in our journey towards creating spaces and moments that bring artists and communities together, nurturing creative and personal development."

Fusion Arts will be collaborating with a diverse range of local artists and organizations to bring these spaces to life, ensuring they reflect the creativity and spirit of Oxford’s vibrant community. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating this exciting new chapter and to take part in the array of activities and events that will be hosted in these spaces in the coming months.

Coming Soon: DEPOT 24

As part of this exciting launch, Fusion Arts is proud to be a key partner in DEPOT 24, a groundbreaking contemporary art event taking place in Oxford from 26 - 28 September 2024. This collaboration will showcase solo exhibitions by internationally renowned artists Jermaine Francis, Valerie Amani, and Sunil Shah, further cementing Fusion Arts' role in making world-class art accessible to the Oxford community. DEPOT 24 highlights the creative potential of our new spaces and reinforces our commitment to cultural exchange and artistic innovation.
