Window Galleries: Stories of Home

Stories of Home

In summer 2022, children and staff at Wood Farm Primary School met each week and, through a range of sensory media, imaginatively explored what it is to 'feel at home'. The Story Makers brought their visions to life, creating sculpture, mosaic, drawings, paintings and writing.

Story Makers is an arts-based initiative working with children and staff in primary schools since 2010. Inspiration is drawn from objects in a Museum Collection of GLAM (Gardens, Libraries and Museums of the University of Oxford). All participants, adults and children, are thought of as artists and over a 12 week journey are encouraged to develop new ideas about their identity and relationships.

‘Stories of Home’ was on display in the #WindowGalleries from 12 September 2022 to the 7th October 2022.
