Art Can Save the World by activist and artist Siân Klein and Green Arts Oxfordshire Network
Art Can Save the World is a display of banners made from recycled materials, brought to us through a collaboration between artist @siankleinart and @greenartsox (Green Arts Oxfordshire Network).
On 5th April 2022 Green Arts Oxfordshire Network hosted a day to kick off Marmalade (a fringe-arts project) at the Old Fire Station, bringing together Oxfordshire’s cultural organisations, artists and anybody wanting to respond creatively to the climate crisis. In a session called ‘Art Can Save The World’, participants collectively reimagined how to produce creative projects in response to the climate and ecological crisis. The banners displayed in this exhibition are a creative response to words and phrases from the conversations that took place.
'Art Can Save the World' was on display in the #WindowGalleries from 14th April 2022 to the 30th April 2022.
