What IF is an annual project, run by Oxford Science and Ideas Festival (Oxford IF Festival), aimed at supporting young offenders, placing youth voices at the heart of a creative process to make music videos as provocations for stimulating new discussions at the Oxford science and Ideas Festival.
Although participants tend to either be new to music production and sometimes initially skeptical about the workshops, the project involves 30-40 contact hours with artists and production specialists and the participants always come out with great sense of achievement, developed creativity, new found interests and boosted confidence.
In 2021, Fusion Arts supported the What IF project by hosting workshops and providing a dance rehearsal space for a group of Oxfordshire Youth Justice Service young people. Click here to check out some of the finished videos.
