International Women’s Day 2021: Celestial Bodies

10/03/2021

Celestial Bodies

For International Women's Day 2021, a group of women and non-binary people came together through Young Women's Music Project to create an original performance, Celestial Bodies, in response to the idea of femininity as something unknown, mysterious, dangerous: out of orbit. Exhibited online via a live stream, they combined music, dance and animation to present an extraordinary spectacle to celebrate feminine and non-binary identity.

The event was co-hosted by Oxford Contemporary Music, Fusion Arts and Oxford International Women's Festival.
