In 2008, Fusion Arts delivered the arts and theatre project Fantastic Family Tales to two primary schools in Oxford. Hosted both at the schools and in our own studios, pupils were given the exciting opportunity to create their own shadow puppets.
Guided by professional artists, a range of materials were used by the children to bring to life their own characters and stories. In the lead-up to a final theatrical performance, the pupils created several small backlit stages which, together with their shadow puppets, were used to enact a selection of stories to an audience of family, friends, and peers.
Fusion Arts work with artists, groups and communities from across Oxfordshire and beyond to support a variety of imaginative and socially engaged projects.
