This new exhibition by Eiko Soga features photography and video projections that explore the value system of the Ainu, the indigenous people of the Japanese and Russian owned lands surrounding the Sea of Okhotsk. The pieces are informed by the time Soga spent with Ainu communities in Hokkaido, Japan helping connect and develop the work.⠀
This installation is presented in collaboration with TORCH for their Humanities Cultural Programme: Japan Season.⠀⠀
