Art Can Save the World is a display of banners made from recycled materials, brought to us through a collaboration between artist Siân Klein and Green Arts Oxfordshire Network (GAON).
This exhibition displays the results of a workshop hosted by Siân Klein during Green Arts Oxfordshire Network's 'Art Can Save the World' session at Marmalade 2022. In this workshop, Siân taught a group made up from Oxfordshire’s cultural organisations, artists, and people wanting to respond creatively to the climate crisis how to make banners with recycled plastic bags. The banners displayed in this exhibition are a creative response to words and phrases from the conversations that took place over the course of the session, looking at sustainability and climate activism in art.
Art Can Save the World will be on display in the #WindowGalleries from 14th April until the end of the month, free and available to visit at any time.
